ability to control access, make folders and uploading videos is so easy

nothing so far its working the way we had hoped

Go for it, as its such a simple and easy-to-use product. Anytime we do any training we simply record and upload the video on sprout and its there forever. very easy to add users and control access

It's very easy to start the process. We uploaded more than 15,000 videos, and I have to say that SproutVideo is a fast and reliable solution. Their customer service is just excellent; they helped us on the spot with all our questions. They went far beyond our expectations. Their pricing is also very good!

So far, there's nothing bad to say. I am very satisfied.

Handling a huge amount of video—more than 15,000!

I work for a growing visual FX company; we work on top-quality network and streaming shows. Our calling card is our website, and we showcase all of our work via our website. We moved to Sprout years ago after realizing that hosting our videos (on our web server) was just a plan fated for disaster. We eventually moved to Sprout, which was over five years ago. We found sprout had solid encoding capabilities...everything looks great. Sprout was also technical-minded enough that we could try some unique embeds (like 2.39:1 film anamorphic). On the rare chance, we had an issue, Sprout has always provided excellent, personal technical support. This si probably my favorite thing about them.

There is a lot to like, but way back in the day - if you played a video, you could choose and end-action. You would think one of the end actions would loop to the beginning of the clip, display a thumbnail. Of course, we had to talk with tech support for a moment about this glaring omission. They supplied us with a "code snippet" that we inserted into the page along with the embed code. While this did work, I would have preferred a GUI. Eventually, we found it was pretty easy to fold in the extra code to our PHP.

We are a VFX Post House. The videos we show on our website are our calling card. They must be high quality and easy to administer. They must play great whether you are in LA or Atlanta, Georgia. But not relying on our web server to stream and manage videos, we saved a ton of complexity on operating our website.

I love having the ability to set up each video with the sharing capabilities that are right for that particular content. Some of my videos are embedded, some are private, and some are public. Everything is easy with the SproutVideo website!

I dislike the fact that I have to change passwords to videos one at a time. I would love to be able to select a set of videos and change the password of all of them.

Since the videos are the intellectual property of my business, the content must be safe and secure, and SproutVideo solves that problem. Also, the user interface is straightforward to use.

Nothing really. Ask me what I dislike about Dacast, but you will erase my review very likely.

I was scammed by Dacast (which I reviewed in detail but since you guys G2 are corrupted AF, didn't publish) and Sprout saved me.

Easy to upload, sort, tag, and share videos within and outside our organization

No real gripes here. Perhaps some hardware upgrades on the back end to increase uploading/processing time on larger video files

Removing videos from the windows based environment that takes up space on our server and leaves videos vulnerable to tampering or accidental deletion

Just the ease of navigating the site, loading videos, editing videos, etc. Everything is just so easy to do. Great pricing

To me, it's the cost. It's very affordable.

The simplicity. Easy to drag and drop multiple videos and very easy to capture lead info (or not, if you dont want to).

Nothing comes to mind. It's simple and if I can use it, anybody can!

Helping with analytics and tracking who have watched the videos. We can then present that info to our leadership and show them the benefits of video.

I love the way i can integrate Dropbox and Sprout Video seamlessly.

I would like the option to also upload photos.

Previously I was wasting hours, manually uploading high res videos to a gallery website, to present casting videos to my clients.

Sprout Video (SV) has a great platform for video streaming for corporate paywall-based systems like ours and allowed us to start the service quickly without needing to hire more infrastructure staff.

Off the top of my head, nothing I can complain about. Maybe a more robust "public-facing" website for our users, but this is a personal item that nobody on staff has complained about.

We needed a solution to provide video content to our members behind a paywall via our website, and SV provided that by allowing many different options to do this. Using passwords, ip ranges and APIs to accomplish this, it all was easy to use and understand.
